Is the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro a good car?

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that many drivers feel they can count on, with reliability described as generally above average. That said, the sixth-generation Camaro has had trunk leak complaints that can lead to electrical problems, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk looks manageable if you verify the car’s condition closely before you commit.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

If you find a listing below $55,305 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro's resale value?

The current average of $62,195 CAD sits slightly above last year's $61,586 CAD.

That small increase suggests the Camaro has held its value reasonably well in the near term. For a future seller, that kind of stability can be helpful because it points to steady buyer interest rather than sharp depreciation. The current pricing also suggests the market still values the Camaro’s performance-focused appeal, which can support resale strength if your car is well kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Camaro or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $48,526 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $62,195 CAD average.
• It delivers classic Camaro muscle with familiar performance and style.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of owner satisfaction, stable pricing, and available deals. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you find one in good condition.
