Is the 2022 Audi Q7 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Audi Q7 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a three-row midsize luxury SUV with comfortable and spacious front and second-row seating, a practical cabin, and a refined, technical interior. You also get useful cargo flexibility, with 419 litres behind the third row, 1,061 litres with that row folded, and a maximum of 2,027 litres. For shoppers who want a luxury SUV that balances everyday usability with family-friendly space, that combination is compelling. 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Audi Q7 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Q7’s overview points to a vehicle that is well suited to daily use, with a practical cabin and strong usability. At the same time, the base engine does not provide enough power, fuel economy is unimpressive when it has to work hard, and headlight performance was consistently poor through 2023. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about living with the model’s known compromises and maintenance expectations.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 141 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,319 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $37,336 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,361 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q7 more attractive to buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The model’s practical layout and luxury appeal should help it remain relevant with family-focused shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 Q7 is the right pick if you want a well-equipped three-row luxury SUV with strong usability and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a similar Q7 offers a better entry price, but the 2022 remains a solid primary target when condition, mileage, and asking price line up.
