Is the 2022 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Audi Q5 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a luxury compact SUV that centres comfort, quality, and standard all-wheel drive, while also offering a spacious interior and a large trunk. Even the entry-level version comes well equipped, so you get a premium-feeling package without giving up everyday usability. With 30.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Q5 is described as a refined second-generation model with few major weak spots, which is encouraging if you want a used luxury SUV that should feel settled and well sorted. Its smooth ride, high-quality cabin, and standard equipment all support the case for dependable day-to-day ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a premium model that can still carry higher ownership costs than mainstream SUVs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 360 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,375 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $30,375 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,994 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy near the current average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. A well-kept Q5 should still appeal to shoppers looking for a premium compact SUV with broad everyday usefulness.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,727 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $30,375 CAD average.
• It adds a notable plug-in hybrid option.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,806 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $30,375 CAD average.
• It adds a sportier feel and a Sportback body style.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a softer market price. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if the plug-in hybrid option matters to you.
