Is the 2024 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Audi Q5 earns a 5/5 user rating, which lines up with its focus on comfort, quality, and practicality. It is a polished luxury compact SUV with standard quattro all-wheel drive, a smooth ride, a roomy high-quality interior, and a large trunk that makes it easy to live with. Is the 2024 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Audi Q5’s appeal comes from its refined powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, and premium-feeling cabin, all of which support a reassuring ownership experience. Its comfort-first character and everyday usability also suggest it is built to be easy to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that premium features and luxury-brand upkeep can make surprises more expensive than on a mainstream SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 555 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,970 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $38,142 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,487 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may limit near-term upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the current lower entry point means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because the Q5’s comfort, premium cabin, and everyday practicality are exactly the traits many used luxury SUV shoppers want.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,806 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $38,142 CAD average.
• It blends sporty character with everyday comfort.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $54,324 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $38,142 CAD average.
• It brings Audi’s current design language and tech suite.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped, comfortable luxury SUV at a more favourable price than the newer redesign. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if you want the latest update and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the upgrade path to consider.
