Used 2021 RAM 1500 for Sale nearOakville, ON

How much does the 2021 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 12.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,108 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare trims and equipment.

Is the 2021 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 RAM 1500 earns a 4.73/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the refined driving experience, smooth ride, and high-quality interior. They also highlight the powerful engine performance and advanced technology features, including an impressive infotainment system.

For you, that means this truck makes the most sense if you want a full-size pickup that feels more polished and more special than a purely utilitarian hauler. With 34.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a truck that feels refined, smooth, and high-quality, with strong performance and technology that many drivers enjoy over time. The same feedback also uses language that suggests the truck is dependable and trouble-free for many owners.

The performance write-up reinforces that impression by describing the truck as comfortable in city driving and capable without drama when pushed. Ram also includes a three-year or 60,000 km basic warranty and a five-year, 100,000 km powertrain warranty with roadside assistance, which helps reduce early ownership risk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core capability and more about how the truck was equipped and maintained, especially if you want the more advanced features.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from work-focused versions to the TRX, and the base truck does not include the more premium cabin materials, larger display, or performance-oriented hardware that make the upper trims feel special.
• Powertrain: The TRX uses a 6.2-litre supercharged Hemi V8 with an eight-speed automatic transmission, 702 horsepower, and 650 pound-feet of torque. It also returns 22.4 L/100 km in the city, 16.5 on the highway, and 19.8 combined.
• Safety package: The Advanced Safety Group adds a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and pedestrian detection with emergency braking. Some of these features cost extra.
• Infotainment: The 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen with navigation is a major draw, and it supports wireless charging, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and over-the-air-style convenience through connected features. The screen can be configured as a single-panel or split-screen display.
• Fuel efficiency: The TRX is rated at 22.4 L/100 km in the city, 16.5 on the highway, and 19.8 combined, so fuel costs are a major ownership consideration.

Which 2021 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2021 RAM 1500 is offered in 10 trim levels: Tradesman, TRX, and the other trims in the lineup.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup, but you should expect a more basic setup than the higher trims.
• TRX: This is the standout choice if you want the most extreme performance and off-road capability in the range. It adds the supercharged Hellcat V8, the 12-inch Uconnect display, and the most aggressive hardware and styling. It is the best fit if you want the most distinctive and most capable version, but it is also the least practical on fuel and price.

The safety package is not standard across the lineup, so check carefully for the Advanced Safety Group and Technology Group on any used example you are considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price softness to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,108 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,880 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $32,880 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,692 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller in the short term. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means you should focus on buying well and choosing a trim with broad appeal.

Well-equipped examples with desirable features should hold demand better than stripped-down trucks, especially if they have been maintained carefully. Strong condition and the right equipment mix matter more when the market is already pricing the model below last year's average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is built to handle demanding terrain and comes with more than 100 safety and security features, including forward collision warning and a number of luxury-automaker-level driver-assistance systems.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Advanced Safety Group adds a rear backup camera with dynamic guidelines, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and pedestrian detection with emergency braking. The Technology Group adds a digital rear-view mirror and a brake-activated centre high-mount stop lamp.

Other available safety features include adaptive headlights, hill-start assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, trailer sway control, lane-departure warning, and front and rear park assistance with automatic braking. Some of these features are not standard, so you should verify package content on any used truck you inspect.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 stands out for the new TRX trim, which adds high-performance off-road character.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $31,430 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $32,880 CAD average.
• It brings back the EcoDiesel engine across the lineup.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $40,416 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $32,880 CAD average.
• It blends comfort, utility, and technology with broad appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of this truck, the 2021 is the year to target because of the TRX and the current price softness. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value path, while the 2022 makes sense if you are willing to pay more for a newer, broadly appealing example.
