How much does the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class cost?

Prices are up 6.66% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 163 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class stands out as a compact luxury car that blends traditional Mercedes character with a strong emphasis on technology and refinement. It remains rear-wheel-drive by design, with 4Matic all-wheel drive optional, and its styling is more dramatic than before, with a pseudo fastback shape and front and rear design cues inspired by the 2014 W222 S-Class. Mercedes also made the car 100 kilograms lighter than before, which helps reinforce its more modern, athletic feel.

Inside, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class leans heavily into upscale presentation and advanced equipment. The cabin draws inspiration from the S-Class, and it includes a large 11.9-inch touchscreen running Mercedes’s latest MBUX infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, ambient lighting, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety equipment is also a major part of the appeal, with blind-spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking included, while more advanced systems such as a head-up display and adaptive cruise control with lane centring are available. The trade-off is that some of that technology can feel fussy, and the car’s trunk is not as large as some rivals at 455 litres.

For buyers, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class offers a lot of luxury-car appeal in a relatively compact package, along with solid rear legroom of 952 millimetres and a wide range of trims and colours. It is also a car that can be expensive to buy used, with examples starting just under $45,000 CAD in the source data, but it delivers the kind of premium cabin, safety content, and brand prestige that have long defined the C-Class name. 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is positioned as a refined, technology-rich compact luxury car, and its appeal comes from that premium execution rather than simplicity. The overview highlights a strong emphasis on safety equipment, a modern cabin, and a lighter body that supports a more athletic feel.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s advanced technology and premium positioning can make upkeep more demanding than a mainstream sedan.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 163 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.66% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $36,549 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $38,983 CAD sits slightly above last year's $36,549 CAD.

That upward movement suggests the 2021 model year has held buyer interest well, which can help support resale strength if you own one for a few years. The current pricing also sits close to the top of the year-round range, which means sellers may still benefit from relatively firm market demand. If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, the premium-brand appeal should help it remain attractive to future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.66% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $42,954 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $38,983 CAD average.
• It brings a redesigned, more upscale look with standard 4Matic AWD in Canada.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its rear-wheel-drive-first setup and available AWD. Consider the 2022 if you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay more for the updated package; if you are price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter starting point.
