Is the 2021 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers most often praise its great value, smooth ride, and numerous safety features, and many also like the advanced technology and off-road capability. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical compact SUV with Jeep character, especially if you value all-weather traction and adventure-minded appeal. With 30.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centred on the Cherokee’s smooth ride and overall value. The same reviews suggest it can be a trouble-free choice when maintained well, especially for buyers who want a long-term SUV with useful features and capable all-weather performance. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for properly, since a careful inspection matters more than the badge alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 371 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,925 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $22,925 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,813 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If the market stays soft, resale values could remain under pressure unless demand tightens or well-equipped examples become harder to find. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 Cherokee makes the most sense if you want a value-oriented compact SUV with Jeep personality, useful features, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-equipped, best-priced examples rather than buying the first one you see.
