Is the 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty reliable?

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with praise for its robust performance and long-trip efficiency. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the truck’s core capability and more about finding one that has been worked hard without the right upkeep.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.72% compared with last year.
• If you find a listing below $57,006 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $58,179 CAD sits slightly below last year's $66,656 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If prices stay near this level, future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. Even so, the truck’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal should help support demand over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.44/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.44/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $55,134 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $58,179 CAD average.
• It offers broad trim and powertrain flexibility for buyers who want a versatile heavy-duty truck.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2021 if you want the stronger current-market value story and a truck that still feels modern for towing and daily use. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2020 is the better secondary path, especially if you can find one with the right configuration and condition.
