Is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.58/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its value, performance, and features, especially in the Z71 and ZR2 trims, and many also like the good ride quality and decent fuel economy. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a midsize pickup that leans toward capability and equipment rather than basic transport. With 28.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.58/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many drivers feel good about living with over time, especially when it comes to value and everyday usability. The repeated mentions of dependable performance, good ride quality, and a truck that owners can count on support that impression. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that comfort and refinement concerns may matter more to you than outright capability if you spend a lot of time in the cabin.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 146 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.15% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,399 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $31,419 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,471 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing means your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim appeal. Higher-demand versions should hold up better than plain-spec trucks, especially if they are well maintained and presented cleanly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 is a strong pick if you want a used midsize pickup with a good mix of value, capability, and owner approval, especially if you are shopping the better-equipped trims. If you are more price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
