Is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its value, performance, and features, and many specifically call out the Z71 and ZR2 models for their appeal. The Colorado also fits well if you want a midsize pickup that balances comfort and utility, with enough capability for towing and a more modern cabin than the older truck it replaced. Is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a truck that many owners find dependable and trouble-free enough to recommend, especially when they value its mix of performance and features. The same reviews also point to decent gas mileage and a solid ownership experience overall. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure you choose a well-kept example, since comfort and ride quality concerns can matter more as mileage adds up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 24.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 141 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,460 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $32,106 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,990 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Colorado has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim. Well-equipped versions should hold broader appeal, especially if they match what shoppers are actively looking for in a midsize pickup.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 24.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2021 if you want a more modern-feeling Colorado with strong owner approval and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2021 is the better pick if you want the newer-feeling cabin and a healthier mix of features.
