Used 2021 Audi Q5 for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2021 Audi Q5 cost?

Prices have softened 13.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 221 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The 2021 Audi Q5 stands out as Audi’s top-selling vehicle and as part of the brand’s broader push toward electrification. For this model year, the Q5 gets a plug-in hybrid variant, giving you a premium compact SUV with an electrified option that fits Audi’s mix of all-electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

That makes it especially appealing if you want a polished, premium-feeling SUV with a modern tech focus and a hybrid option. The market also shows 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q5’s appeal is built around quality, refinement, and a well-finished cabin, and the expert assessment reinforces that with strong marks for performance, form and function, cost effectiveness, and technology. The plug-in hybrid setup also adds a flexible ownership experience, with electric-only driving available for short trips and hybrid operation for longer commutes.

Its performance content also points to a convincing, well-integrated drivetrain rather than a complicated system that feels awkward to live with. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium plug-in hybrid can be more expensive to maintain and repair than a conventional SUV, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Audi Q5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The plug-in hybrid wears S-Line trim pieces and enhancements, and it looks even better with standard 19-inch wheels or optional 20-inch wheels. Inside, you get a classy, modern cabin with high-quality materials, real wood, real metal, and standard leather upholstery on seating surfaces throughout.
• Powertrain: The plug-in hybrid pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 14.1-kWh battery. It produces 362 hp and 373 lb-ft of torque, uses a seven-speed S Tronic automatic transmission, and has full-time Quattro all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Audi Pre Sense front, Audi Side Assist with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop and go and traffic congestion assist, traffic-sign recognition, Audi active lane assist, and hands-on detection are available. The standard safety equipment also includes six airbags, a rearview camera, and a tire-pressure monitoring system.
• Infotainment: You get Audi’s MMI 10.1-inch touchscreen, the Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wired Android Auto. The Bang & Olufsen 3D audio system with 19 speakers is standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is rated at 4.7 litres-equivalent per 100 kilometres combined, and 8.8 litres per 100 kilometres combined in gasoline-only mode.

Which 2021 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

It gives you the core Q5 PHEV package, including the strong electrified drivetrain, the upscale cabin, and the standard tech and audio equipment that make this model feel thoroughly premium.
• Technik: Choose this if you want the most fully equipped version of the Q5 PHEV. It builds on the same strong foundation and is the trim to target if you want the most complete feature set.

The safety package includes Audi Pre Sense front, Audi Side Assist with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop and go and traffic congestion assist, traffic-sign recognition, Audi active lane assist, and hands-on detection.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Audi Q5?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 221 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,718 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $27,718 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,193 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future buyers but may temper what you can ask when it’s time to sell. If you own one now, the current trend means you may need to price competitively to stand out. On the other hand, the Q5’s premium positioning and electrified appeal can still support demand among shoppers looking for a well-equipped luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Audi Q5 safe?

The 2021 Q5 PHEV hasn’t been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) yet, but the 2020 Q5 received top “good” ratings in every category except headlights, where it received a “marginal” rating. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) awarded the 2021 Audi Q5 gasoline model five stars but has not yet rated the PHEV.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety features include six airbags, an anti-lock braking system with brake assist, low-speed collision assist, power child safety locks in the rear doors, electronic stability control with off-road mode, electronic vehicle immobilization, anti-theft alarm, interior motion sensor, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights, LATCH connectors on outboard rear seats, a rearview camera, and a tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Available driver-assistance features include Audi Pre Sense front, Audi Side Assist with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop and go and traffic congestion assist, traffic-sign recognition, Audi active lane assist, and hands-on detection to ensure you’re actively driving while using these additional systems.

Should I buy a 2021 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Audi has made a commitment to electrification across its lineup, and the Q5’s plug-in hybrid setup is a key part of that story for this year.

The bottom line: If you want the Q5 with its electrified twist and a strong mix of premium tech, the 2021 model is the one to focus on. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2021 remains the more distinctive choice for shoppers who want the plug-in hybrid version.
