How much does the 2020 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 4.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 104 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Camry earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and great fuel economy, and many also like its stylish design and smooth ride. For shoppers who want a practical midsize sedan with a more modern feel, the Camry’s appeal is easy to understand.

The trade-offs are familiar: the back seat is cramped, and cargo space is limited. The overview also points to a sedan that aims to balance practicality with added performance and traction, especially if you want available all-wheel drive or the XSE V6/TRD direction.

With 24.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable, and they also praise its trouble-free feel, comfort, and fuel economy. The expert review reinforces that dependability angle by framing the Camry as a practical, easy-to-live-with sedan with a reputation for quality and value.

Toyota’s warranty coverage includes three years or 60,000 kilometres on the vehicle and five years or 100,000 kilometres on the powertrain, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is making sure the specific car has been maintained properly and checked for any recall-related work.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims are well equipped, but the base model misses some conveniences that appear higher up the range, including Safety Connect and some comfort and tech upgrades. Higher trims add more premium materials, more luxury equipment, and features like Bird's Eye View on select versions.
• Powertrain: You can shop the 2.5-litre four-cylinder with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, or the 3.5-litre V6 with front-wheel drive. The four-cylinder is the efficiency play, while the V6 brings more power but higher operating costs.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, and Safety Connect is not standard on the base model.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get a 7-inch screen, while an 8-inch upgrade is available. Android Auto is standard, and some trims also offer Remote Connect and a larger head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-drive four-cylinder XLE and XSE are rated at 7.6 L/100 km combined, AWD four-cylinder models rise to 8.4 L/100 km, and front-drive V6 models use 9.0 L/100 km combined, with the XSE at 9.2 L/100 km and the TRD at 9.4 L/100 km.

Which 2020 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Camry is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE, XSE V6, XLE V6.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it’s the trim to consider if you want the Camry’s core safety and practicality without paying for extras you may not need.
• SE: This trim adds a sportier look and better interior trimmings, including synthetic leather seats instead of cloth, making it a strong step up if you want more style for the money.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim if you want the sweet spot of price and amenities, with more luxury equipment and a more upscale feel.
• XSE: This trim adds more luxury equipment and a sportier presentation, and it suits you if you want a more premium-feeling Camry without jumping to the V6.
• XSE V6: This is the performance-oriented choice, with the 301-horsepower V6 and the optional TRD package for buyers who want the strongest straight-line punch.
• XLE V6: This is the most upscale V6 choice, aimed at you if you want the stronger engine with a more luxury-leaning setup.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, but Safety Connect is not included on the base model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 24.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.88% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,306 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $23,892 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,118 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the Camry is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that can mean less immediate upside if you buy at today’s average and try to resell soon after.

Even so, the Camry’s reputation for reliability, comfort, and fuel economy should help support demand over time. Well-equipped trims and cars with strong maintenance records are likely to remain easier to move than less desirable examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2020 Toyota Camry earns a five-star rating from NHTSA and Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard, and it includes a pre-collision system with emergency braking and pedestrian detection, dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Every Camry also gets 10 airbags, stability control, and a backup camera.

Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, and Safety Connect is not standard on the base model. Higher trims can also add Bird's Eye View for a 360-degree camera view.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 24.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 adds all-wheel drive and the TRD package, giving you more traction and a sportier V6 option.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,089 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $23,892 CAD average.
• It brings updated infotainment displays and a newer driver-aid package.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter starting point. If you’re willing to pay a bit more for incremental updates, the 2021 is the cleaner alternative; price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2020.
