How much does the 2020 Honda Accord cost?

There are 168 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Honda Accord earns a 4.3/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, stylish design, and great value, and many also highlight the performance of the 2.0T engine and the advanced Honda Sensing safety system. The Accord is also frequently described as a worthwhile investment, with owner feedback pointing to a dependable, long-term ownership experience.

The trade-offs are that acceleration can feel weaker with the air conditioning on, and some owners noted transmission concerns. In practical terms, this is a strong fit if you want a polished midsize sedan with space, tech, and everyday usability rather than a flashy or gimmicky car.

There are 31.5% good or great deals in the market, which is a decent sign that value-minded shoppers can still find opportunities.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a reliable, dependable car that many drivers feel good about keeping for the long haul. The expert review also describes it as a car that can go the distance and provide a decade or more of faithful, useful, and enjoyable service.

That said, used buyers should still pay attention to service history and test-drive behaviour, especially if the car has seen heavy use or shows signs of transmission hesitation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring trim adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while lower trims rely on Honda’s LaneWatch system instead. The Touring also brings a more premium equipment set, including a head-up display and other upscale touches.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder with a CVT and front-wheel drive. A turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder is also available, paired with a ten-speed automatic, and the review notes that it delivers much stronger performance.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is reserved for Touring.
• Infotainment: The available 8-inch touchscreen includes Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and text-messaging support. Touring adds HondaLink subscription services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and wireless device charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The review cites 5.5 L/100 km for the hybrid powertrain and 8.6 L/100 km during testing of the turbocharged 2.0T.

Which 2020 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Accord is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but the review makes clear that lower trims miss out on some of the more appealing visual and convenience upgrades. It suits you if you want the Accord’s core space, safety, and usability at the lowest starting point.
• Sport: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more desirable equipment, including the ten-speaker premium audio system, while still staying below the upper trims. It also pairs well with the Accord’s stronger powertrain options.
• EX-L: This trim is the step up if you want a more upscale feel and more comfort-focused equipment without going all the way to Touring.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, adding blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, HondaLink, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, wireless charging, and a head-up display. It is the one to choose if you want the most complete Accord experience.

Honda Sensing is standard across the range, but the Touring trim gets the most advanced safety convenience features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 168 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,911 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $21,911 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,994 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The current range suggests the Accord is still holding meaningful value, just not at the stronger levels seen a year ago.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord safe?

The 2020 Honda Accord is a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and earns five-star ratings in every assessment conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Lower trims use LaneWatch instead of blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, which is reserved for Touring.

The main caveat is that the adaptive cruise control and warning systems can be a little overactive or less refined than ideal, with false alerts reported in some situations.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 stands out for its polished driving dynamics, huge back seat, giant trunk, and strong tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,158 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $21,911 CAD average.
• Honda refined the features list and leaned further into safety.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter starting point because pricing is softer and inventory is healthy. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year with a more elevated feel, the 2021 is worth a look; price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2020.
