Used 2020 Toyota Camry for Sale nearHamilton, ON

How much does the 2020 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 6.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 114 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Camry earns a 4.71/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and great fuel economy, and many also like its stylish design and smooth ride. The Camry’s practical appeal is reinforced by its strong safety credentials and premium-feeling cabin materials, which help it feel more upscale than a basic family sedan.

The trade-offs are familiar ones: some owners want more horsepower, and a few mention that the newer technology takes some getting used to. In use, it suits you best if you want a comfortable, reliable midsize sedan with strong safety and everyday practicality rather than a flashy performance car.

With 25.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a decent amount of value-oriented inventory to consider.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe the Camry as reliable, trouble-free, and dependable, with many saying it is the kind of car you can count on for daily use and long-term ownership. The expert assessment also points to Toyota’s reputation for quality and value, while the powertrain coverage and warranty support add to the sense that this is a sensible used buy.

Toyota’s warranty coverage includes three years or 60,000 kilometres on the vehicle and five years or 100,000 kilometres on the powertrain, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained properly and has no unresolved recall-related issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims feel well finished, but the higher trims add leather, wood, and more upscale cabin touches that make the car feel closer to a luxury sedan. You should also check whether the trim you want includes the features you expect, since some equipment is reserved for higher grades.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with front-wheel drive, the same engine with all-wheel drive, or a 3.5-litre V6. The four-cylinder is the efficiency-minded choice, while the V6 brings stronger performance but higher operating costs.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Safety Connect is standard on most trims but not the base model, where it is part of a package, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get a 7-inch screen, while an 8-inch upgrade is available. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and some trims also offer Remote Connect, a 10-inch head-up display, and wireless charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-drive four-cylinder XLE and XSE are rated at 7.6 L/100 km combined, AWD four-cylinder models at 8.4 L/100 km, and front-drive V6 models at 9.0 L/100 km, rising to 9.2 L/100 km in XSE form and 9.4 L/100 km in TRD form.

Which 2020 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Camry is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE, XLE V6, and XSE V6.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it is the trim to consider if you want the Camry’s core strengths without paying for extras you may not need. It is also the trim where you should pay close attention to package content, since some convenience and safety features are not standard.
• SE: This trim adds a sportier look and better interior trimmings, including synthetic leather seats instead of cloth. It is a strong middle-ground choice if you want a nicer cabin and more style without moving into luxury pricing.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it combines more luxury equipment with the Camry’s practical strengths. It is the sweet spot if you want leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and a more upscale feel without stepping into V6 territory.
• XSE: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance and a more premium feature set, along with the option of the stronger V6. It suits you best if you want the Camry to feel a little more expressive and upscale.
• XLE V6: This is the comfort-first V6 choice, aimed at buyers who want the stronger engine and a more luxurious setup. It makes sense if you value smooth power and a more premium driving experience over fuel savings.
• XSE V6: This is the most performance-oriented Camry in the lineup, especially with the optional TRD package. It is the one to look at if you want the 301-horsepower V6 and the sportiest character available.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, but Safety Connect is not included on the base model unless you add a package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 114 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,306 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $23,967 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,610 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may need to be more realistic on asking price if the market stays competitive. The Camry’s broad appeal, strong safety reputation, and reputation for reliability should help support demand over time. Even so, resale will still depend on trim, condition, mileage, and whether the car has desirable equipment such as AWD or the V6.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2020 Toyota Camry earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and Top Safety Pick+ recognition from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes a pre-collision system with emergency braking and pedestrian detection, dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Every Camry also comes with 10 airbags, stability control, and a backup camera, while blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional and Bird’s Eye View is available on higher trims.

One caveat is that Safety Connect is not standard on the base model, where it is only available in a package. There is also one recall involving leaking engine coolant on certain four-cylinder models.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings back all-wheel drive and adds the TRD package with 301 horsepower.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,845 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $23,967 CAD average.
• It adds updated infotainment displays and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger year-over-year value story and the return of AWD, the 2020 is the better pick. If you are price-sensitive and want a slightly newer model with updated tech, the 2021 is worth a look.
