The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those who value low running costs and straightforward transportation. Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 342 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.15% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,843 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $15,843 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,671 CAD.

That price movement suggests the 2020 Nissan Kicks has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. Because the current average is near the low end of the year-round range, there may be less room for further sharp declines than there was a year ago. If you buy well now, you could be starting from a more favourable value position than a shopper who paid closer to last year’s average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,677 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,843 CAD average.
• The 2021 adds more features while keeping the same approachable, budget-friendly character.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the stronger value play and are focused on price, efficiency, and everyday practicality. Consider the 2021 if you’re willing to pay more for a newer, better-equipped version of the same basic formula.
