Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 132 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.24% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,127 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $42,226 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,116 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar right away. At the same time, the current pricing may help you buy at a more realistic entry point if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years. If demand stays steady, a well-kept example should remain easier to move than a less desirable luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $54,253 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $42,226 CAD average.
• It adds brand-new Coupe models for a more distinctive body style.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the stronger value proposition and a broad mix of well-equipped luxury SUV options. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2020 is the smarter starting point; if you want the newer body-style choice and are willing to pay more, the 2021 is the better alternative.
