Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 288 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,042 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $30,408 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,290 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the GLC more attractive to you as a used buyer today. For a future seller, it means there may be less room for appreciation unless demand strengthens. The current pricing also implies that well-kept examples should remain easier to move than overpriced ones, especially if they are competitively positioned against similar luxury SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $34,176 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $30,408 CAD average.
• It adds more advanced technology and a more polished overall feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and a strong mix of comfort, luxury, and winter confidence. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer model's added tech and refinement, the 2021 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 is the smarter buy when you find a clean example at the lower end of the market.
