This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Inventory: There are 281 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,979 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $29,979 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,807 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and service records than to model-year age alone. If you keep the vehicle well maintained, you can help protect value in a market that has already softened.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $34,557 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $29,979 CAD average.
• It adds more advanced technology and a more polished overall feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and are focused on getting into a well-liked compact luxury SUV at a lower price. Consider the 2021 if you are willing to pay more for a newer-feeling package with a stronger tech-forward appeal. For most price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 is the smarter starting point.
