It suits you well if you want a small crossover with a stylish design, a fun-to-drive character, and a solid list of driver-assist safety features. The current average of $18,898 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,608 CAD.

That price movement suggests the CX-3 has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier to attract interest if you decide to sell later. At the same time, the current market is still showing meaningful demand, so a well-priced example should remain competitive. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and price it in line with the market, you should be able to position it well against other small crossovers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 CX-3 makes the most sense if you want a used subcompact crossover with a premium feel, strong satisfaction, and a market that is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 is the better pick when you want a balance of value, appeal, and confidence.
