This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should have some room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

The current average of $19,153 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,544 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless market conditions improve. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well so you have less depreciation to absorb. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it’s time to list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Kia Sedona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Kia Sedona makes the most sense if you want a well-liked minivan with strong value and you can take advantage of the current price softness. If you’re price-sensitive, this year is especially worth a close look because the market is giving you more negotiating room than it was a year ago.
