The current average of $17,047 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,401 CAD.

For a future seller, that suggests the market has already adjusted downward, so your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how competitively you price it. The current spread between the year-round low and high also shows there is room for stronger examples to command more money. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sedona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing and buyer confidence, the 2019 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you can also compare nearby years and use the softer pricing trend to negotiate aggressively on the best-kept examples.
