Is the 2017 Kia Sedona reliable?

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Kia Sedona?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 64 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,294 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Kia Sedona's resale value?

The current average of $13,301 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,886 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a double-edged sword: it helps you buy in at a lower cost now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average matters more than usual. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Kia Sedona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a used Sedona with proven owner satisfaction and a softer price than it had a year ago. If your priority is stretching your budget, this year looks especially appealing; if you want to compare against newer or older examples, focus on the best-priced listings rather than chasing the newest model year.
