Is the 2020 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Passport earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and smooth ride, and many also like the strong V6 engine and the utility it offers for hauling cargo. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical two-row SUV with more space and capability than a compact crossover, but without moving up to a three-row model. With 27.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Passport’s comfort, smooth ride, and strong V6 as reasons they trust it over time. Some owners do mention electrical issues and an infotainment system that feels outdated, so you should pay close attention to those areas during a used-car inspection. For used buyers, that means the Passport looks like a solid long-term choice, but a careful pre-purchase check is still important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 90 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,141 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $28,865 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,199 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Passport has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing if they want to move the vehicle quickly. A softer market can pressure resale values in the short term, especially if similar listings remain plentiful. Even so, the Passport’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when you eventually decide to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Passport’s strong V6, roomy cabin, and comfortable ride at a lower used price, the 2020 is a compelling place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a similar vehicle offers a better deal or a better-equipped trim for the money.
