How much does the 2020 Honda Accord cost?

There are 170 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Honda Accord earns a 4.35/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for used shoppers. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, stylish design, and great value, and many also like the performance of the 2.0T engine and the advanced Honda Sensing safety system. The main trade-offs are some complaints about acceleration when the air conditioning is on and a few transmission concerns.

It fits especially well if you want a practical midsize sedan with a polished feel, a huge back seat, and a giant trunk. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market also gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.35/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a car that feels dependable, with drivers describing it as a worthwhile investment and praising its comfort and value over time. The expert assessment also suggests it can go the distance, with language that emphasizes a decade or more of faithful, useful, and enjoyable service.

Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes also frame it as a car that holds its value well, which supports confidence in long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is less about outright durability and more about making sure any example you consider has been maintained properly and is free of the issues some owners mentioned.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring trim adds the most upscale equipment, including 19-inch alloy wheels, while lower trims use 17-inch wheels and feel less visually striking. Touring also gets blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while lower models rely on Honda’s LaneWatch camera system instead.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder with a CVT and front-wheel drive, while the 2.0-litre turbo with a 10-speed automatic is the stronger choice if you want more punch. The standard engine is described as adequate, but the 2.0T is the one that delivers the most satisfying performance.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Touring is the trim that adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: The available 8-inch touchscreen is the one to seek out, with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and text-messaging support. Touring adds HondaLink subscription services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and wireless device charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert notes say the hybrid averaged 5.5 L/100 km during testing, while the turbocharged 2.0-litre model used 8.6 L/100 km on the driving loop and was rated at 9.1 L/100 km in combined driving.

Which 2020 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Accord is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it misses some of the visual polish and convenience features that make the Accord feel special. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it is not the most compelling used buy.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more appealing look and a ten-speaker premium audio system, while still keeping the Accord’s core strengths intact. If you want a balanced mix of equipment and price, this is the one to focus on.
• EX-L: This trim moves you closer to a more upscale experience, making it a good fit if comfort and a richer cabin matter more than chasing the lowest price.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, with the 8-inch touchscreen, HondaLink, Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, wireless charging, head-up display, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Choose it if you want the most complete Accord experience.

Honda Sensing is standard across the range, so even lower trims get the core safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,164 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $22,166 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,017 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower baseline than last year, which can help cushion depreciation if the market stays steady. Strong demand for well-regarded midsize sedans should still support interest in clean, well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.35/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord safe?

The 2020 Honda Accord is a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and earns five-star ratings in every assessment conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Touring is the trim that adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while lower trims use LaneWatch instead.

One caveat is that the expert notes mention some refinement issues: adaptive cruise control can react a bit abruptly, and the warning systems can false-alert in shadows or construction zones.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.35/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong tech, roomy practicality, and polished driving dynamics.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,781 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,166 CAD average.
• Honda refined the features list and gave the Accord a more elevated feel.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better value if you want a well-rounded Accord at a softer price, especially if you can find a clean example with the equipment you want. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year with a more elevated presentation, the 2021 is the alternative to watch.
