How much does the 2020 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 15.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 162 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Honda Accord earns 4.3/5 from owners and 8.3/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, stylish design, and great value, and many also highlight the advanced features and strong performance from the 2.0T engine. The Accord is also frequently described as a worthwhile investment, with reliability and long-term satisfaction coming through in owner feedback.

The trade-offs are that acceleration can feel weaker with the air conditioning on, and some owners noted transmission concerns. It is framed as a polished family midsize sedan with a huge back seat and giant trunk, so it suits you well if you want everyday practicality without giving up style or driving enjoyment.

With 25.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a reliable, dependable, and worthwhile car that many drivers feel they can count on over time. The expert review also says the Accord can provide a decade or more of faithful, useful, and enjoyable service, which supports its reputation for long-term durability.

Honda’s standard warranty coverage is average at best, so used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of wear. Even so, the overall ownership picture suggests manageable long-term risk if the car has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring trim adds the most upscale equipment, including a head-up display, HondaLink subscription services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, wireless device charging, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Lower trims rely on Honda’s LaneWatch system instead, so you should check whether the features you want are standard on the trim you are considering.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder with a CVT and front-wheel drive, while the 2.0-litre turbo with a ten-speed automatic is the stronger choice for performance. A hybrid powertrain is also mentioned as the efficiency-focused option.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is reserved for Touring.
• Infotainment: The available 8-inch touchscreen includes Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and text-messaging support. Touring adds HondaLink subscription services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and wireless device charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid averaged 5.5 L/100 km during testing, and the 2.0T returned 8.6 L/100 km in mixed driving. The Natural Resources Canada combined estimate for the 2.0T is 9.1 L/100 km.

Which 2020 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Accord is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but the available information suggests it misses some of the more appealing visual and convenience upgrades found higher up the range. It makes sense if you want the Accord’s core space, safety, and usability at the lowest rung.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a ten-speaker premium audio system and can be paired with the engine upgrade. If you want a stronger mix of features and value, this is the trim to focus on.
• EX-L: This trim sits above Sport and should appeal if you want a more upscale feel without going all the way to Touring. It is the middle-ground choice for buyers who want more comfort and refinement.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, with the head-up display, navigation, wireless charging, HondaLink, Wi-Fi hotspot, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Choose it if you want the most complete Accord experience.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are reserved for Touring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 162 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,972 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $21,972 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,975 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The year-round range still shows healthy demand, which can support resale stability if the car is well maintained and properly equipped.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Accord safe?

The 2020 Honda Accord is a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and earns five-star ratings in every assessment conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Lower trims use LaneWatch instead of blind-spot monitoring, while Touring adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

The main caveat is that Honda Sensing could use more refinement, since the adaptive cruise control can react abruptly and the warning systems can trigger false alerts in some situations.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 stands out for its polished driving dynamics, huge back seat, giant trunk, and strong tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,085 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $21,972 CAD average.
• Honda refined the Accord’s features list and made safety a priority.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger buy because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model-year update, the 2021 is the secondary path to consider.
