Used 2020 Ford Mustang for Sale nearKitchener, ON

How much does the 2020 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 5.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 169 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.73/5, and the expert rating is 8.17/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its power, fun driving experience, stylish looks, and comfortable seats. They also appreciate the performance offered by different engine options, which fits a car that is meant to deliver both image and driving enjoyment.

The main trade-offs are limited cargo space and the fact that advanced safety features are not standard. That makes it a stronger fit if you want a sporty weekend or enthusiast car than if you need maximum practicality.

With its classic pony-car character and broad powertrain range, it suits you best if you want a distinctive performance car rather than an SUV-style all-rounder. Good and great deals account for 32.5% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with many buyers describing it as fun, powerful, and satisfying to live with over time. That kind of repeat praise usually matters when you’re trying to judge whether a used car will continue to feel rewarding after the novelty wears off.

The expert notes also support that impression by showing a well-developed performance package and a drivetrain setup that is built for sustained enthusiast use. The Bullitt’s manual transmission and performance hardware reinforce the sense that this is a car you can count on for engaging driving.

If you’re buying used, the bigger ownership risk is less about basic appeal and more about finding an example that has been maintained properly and not driven hard without care.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Ford Mustang?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Bullitt stands out with its Dark Highland Green or Shadow Black paint, unique Bullitt badging, green stitching, cue-ball shifter, and retro 19-inch wheels, while the base GT Performance Package adds structural bracing, improved cooling, a Torsen limited-slip rear differential, Brembo brakes, and more permissive stability-control tuning.
• Powertrain: The lineup ranges from a 310-horsepower turbocharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder to a 460-horsepower 5.0-litre V8, with higher-output Shelby variants above that; the Bullitt uses a 480-horsepower 5.0-litre V8 and a 6-speed manual.
• Safety package: The car includes a reversing camera, MyKey, and optional 911 Assist, while blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning are available with the Electronics Package.
• Infotainment: The Mustang uses a Sync 3 system with an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and an available 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder EcoBoost returns 11.2 L/100 km in the city, 7.3 on the highway, and 9.4 combined; the Bullitt sits at 16.4/10.2/13.6 L/100 km, while the Shelby GT500 returns 19.9/12.7/16.7 L/100 km.

Which 2020 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2020 Ford Mustang is offered in 1 trim level: Bullitt.

Here's the short version:

The Bullitt is the one to buy if you want the most distinctive styling and the strongest enthusiast character in this model year. It adds the special-edition look, the 480-horsepower V8, the 6-speed manual, and the performance hardware that makes it feel more focused than a standard Mustang GT.

If you want the best-value path into this model year, the Bullitt makes sense when you care more about character and collectability than everyday practicality. It is also the trim that most clearly captures the Mustang’s nostalgic appeal.

The safety package is limited, with blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning reserved for the optional Electronics Package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 169 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.74% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,875 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $36,158 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,359 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, which can put pressure on future resale if you buy at the wrong point in the cycle. For a seller, it means you may need to lean on condition, mileage, and equipment to justify a stronger asking price.

The good news is that a model with strong enthusiast appeal and broad owner satisfaction can still hold demand well. Special-edition character and a loyal buyer base help support interest when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Ford Mustang safe?

The Mustang gets good crash-test ratings, for the most part, earning Good ratings in most IIHS crashworthiness tests and an Acceptable rating for driver protection in a small overlap frontal-impact collision. It earns five-star ratings in every NHTSA test, including rollover resistance.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes a reversing camera, MyKey, and opt-in 911 Assist if your smartphone is paired and has signal. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning are available with the optional Electronics Package.

The main caveat is that semi-autonomous safety features are largely absent, so you should not expect the kind of driver-assistance coverage that is common in many newer mainstream cars.

Should I buy a 2020 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It marks Ford’s transition-era Mustang, pairing nostalgic V8 character with the Bullitt special edition’s distinctive styling and performance focus.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $30,145 CAD, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $36,158 CAD average.
• It delivers special-edition style and extra power in a more affordable package.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around used-buy case, the 2020 is the better pick because it combines solid owner satisfaction, softened pricing, and a distinctive special-edition identity. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2019 is the smarter value play, especially if you mainly want the Bullitt look and feel.
