Used 2020 Ford Expedition for Sale near Quebec

How much does the 2020 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 12.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 112 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, and the expert rating is 8.7/10. The model scores 10/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, luxurious feel, and powerful engine, and many also like the advanced features. In use, that lines up well with the Expedition’s family-first layout and its ability to handle people, luggage, and heavy-duty tasks. The main trade-offs are outdated technology and interior materials that feel cheap, so it suits you best if space, towing, and versatility matter more than a polished cabin or the latest interface. Good and great deals account for 31.3% of listings, which suggests there are still some worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with strong satisfaction over the long term. The expert notes also support that impression by describing the Expedition as a robust full-size SUV that can remain on the road for decades. Ford’s standard maintenance and durability-minded engineering should help, but as a used buyer you should still watch for the usual wear that comes with a large, heavy SUV that may have been used for towing or family hauling.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Ford Expedition?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower-level Expedition XLT is called out for having a lot of hard plastic inside, while the King Ranch adds special Del Rio leather, 22-inch aluminium wheels, a mesh grille insert, LED headlights, and exclusive exterior trim. The Platinum trim level is also mentioned as a more conventionally luxurious step up, so you should compare cabin materials carefully if you want a more premium feel.
• Powertrain: Every 2020 Expedition uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 with 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and standard four-wheel drive in Canada. It delivers strong acceleration and plenty of towing ability, but the trade-off is fuel consumption that is not especially frugal for a large SUV.
• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability is optional, so check whether the used example you are considering has that extra convenience feature.
• Infotainment: The Expedition uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Sync 3, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. It is easy enough to use, but the system is dated for the vehicle’s size and price, so make sure you are comfortable with the interface before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says to expect 14.1 L/100 km in city driving, 10.6 L/100 km on the highway, and 12.5 L/100 km combined. The MAX version rises to 14.7 L/100 km city, 11.2 L/100 km highway, and 13.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Ford Expedition trim should I buy?

The 2020 Ford Expedition is offered in 3 trim levels: XLT, King Ranch, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• XLT: This is the entry point, and it makes the Expedition’s core strengths available at the lowest price. It gives you the big-space, big-towing formula without the higher trim’s luxury extras, but you should be prepared for the harder cabin materials noted in the test data.
• King Ranch: This is the standout choice if you want the most distinctive and upscale feel. It adds the special leather, unique exterior details, and standard adaptive damping suspension, which helps control body motions. It is the best fit if you want a more premium Expedition and can live with the ride sometimes feeling busy on rough pavement.
• Platinum: This is the more conventionally luxurious trim level mentioned in the test data, so it is the one to consider if you want a higher-end Expedition without the King Ranch’s western-themed styling. It suits you if cabin ambience matters most and you want the top-tier feel described in the review.

Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard, so every trim gets the core safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Ford Expedition?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 112 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,382 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $38,382 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,801 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Expedition easier to buy now but may also mean future sellers face more competition. If you own one, the current softness gives you a realistic benchmark for setting expectations when it is time to sell. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for a vehicle that buyers seek out for space and towing ability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Ford Expedition safe?

The Expedition earns five-star ratings in every NHTSA test plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard, and it brings forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability is optional, so you may want to look for a used example that includes it if you do a lot of highway driving. The expert notes also say the system works smoothly and accurately, which is reassuring for everyday use.

Should I buy a 2020 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong space, towing ability, and standard safety tech with an expert rating of 8.7/10.

The bottom line: If you want a used full-size SUV that prioritises space, towing, and family usefulness, the 2020 Expedition is a strong pick. If you are price-sensitive, this year’s softer pricing and decent deal share make it worth a close look, but you should still compare condition, equipment, and trim carefully because the cabin and technology are not as modern as the rest of the package.
