Used 2020 Ford Edge for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2020 Ford Edge cost?

Prices have softened 14.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 408 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Ford Edge a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Ford Edge earns a 4.63/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the comfort, spaciousness, modern features, solid build quality, and roomy interior, and many say it works especially well for tall drivers and families. The Edge’s use-case appeal is strongest if you want a comfortable, practical two-row SUV with a well-equipped cabin rather than a flashy design or sporty personality.

The main trade-offs are its uninspired styling and underwhelming base engine, and the expert notes also point to a dated overall feel. Even so, the market still shows 33.6% of listings as good or great deals, which supports its value proposition.

Is the 2020 Ford Edge reliable?

Owners rate it 4.63/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with repeated praise for comfort, spaciousness, and the kind of solid build quality you can count on over time. The expert notes reinforce that impression by describing the Edge as a well-equipped, practical SUV that delivers a stable, easy-to-live-with driving experience.

Ford also includes a maintenance perk in the ownership package, which helps reduce early service costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that some owners have reported technical issues, especially with the transmission and certain tech features.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Ford Edge?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Edge is available in SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST trims. The SE already brings a strong equipment list, including heated front seats and side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, SYNC 3, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Ford Co-Pilot360, while the SEL adds LED fog lights, synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, a premium audio system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Titanium adds genuine leather upholstery, more upscale wheels and lighting, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and more power-adjustment features. The ST is the performance-focused choice with sportier styling and a more powerful engine.
• Powertrain: The standard engine is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. If you want more speed, the ST uses a 2.7-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 with 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque and standard AWD.
• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard on every trim and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. The SEL can be equipped with Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and active lane centring.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and two smart-charging USB ports. A semi-digital instrument panel with dual screens is available on the SEL and ST and standard on the Titanium.
• Fuel efficiency: The most fuel-efficient version is the 2.0-litre four-cylinder with FWD, at 11.2 L/100 km city, 8.1 highway, and 9.8 combined. With AWD, it returns 11.4 L/100 km city, 8.3 highway, and 10.0 combined. The ST returns 12.5 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway, and 11.0 combined.

Which 2020 Ford Edge trim should I buy?

The 2020 Ford Edge is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you a lot of the Edge’s appeal: SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and Ford Co-Pilot360. If you want the best balance of price and equipment, this is the trim to start with.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful comfort and convenience upgrades without jumping too far in price. You get LED fog lights, synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, a premium audio system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror, plus the option to add Co-Pilot360 Assist+.
• Titanium: Choose this if you want the more upscale Edge experience. It adds genuine leather upholstery, 19-inch wheels, a unique headlight design, a 10-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, driver’s seat memory, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a wall-style power outlet.
• ST: This is the performance model, with the 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6, standard AWD, sportier styling, and stronger acceleration. It suits you if you want the most engaging Edge rather than the most economical one.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, while Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is reserved for the SEL and above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 408 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.51% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,193 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $20,237 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,673 CAD.

That price decline suggests the Edge has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If you buy near the current average, your resale position will depend heavily on trim, condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. The Edge’s broad appeal as a practical, well-equipped SUV should help support demand, but it is not the kind of model that typically commands a premium just because of name recognition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.63/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Ford Edge safe?

The 2020 Ford Edge received a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and earns five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 comes standard on every trim and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. If you move up to the SEL, you can add Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which brings adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and active lane centring.

One caveat to keep in mind is that IIHS headlight performance varies by trim, with some versions rated lower than others.

Should I buy a 2020 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.63/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps Ford’s latest infotainment and safety technology while also offering the Edge ST performance variant.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,665 CAD, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $20,237 CAD average.
• It still prioritises family usefulness, with strong backseat legroom and cargo space.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the better-supported used-market option with strong safety tech, broad equipment, and a more current value profile. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2019 is the better path, especially if you mainly want space and practicality.
