Used 2020 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearCalgary, AB

How much does the 2020 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices have softened 22.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 68 listings available, which gives you a useful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — 4.8/5 owners’ rating and an 8/10 expert rating point to a strong overall showing. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise the powerful performance, stylish looks, comfortable ride, spacious interior, and unique design. The Challenger also stands out for its handling and responsiveness, especially with the Hemi options, which reinforces its appeal if you want a coupe with personality and muscle-car character.

The trade-offs are familiar: advanced safety features are not standard, and the styling can be polarising. It suits you best if you want a distinctive, performance-focused coupe rather than a conventional mainstream car.

Only 16.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective even with decent inventory.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as powerful, comfortable, and enjoyable to live with, and the owner feedback also points to a spacious cabin and a design that feels distinctive without being hard to appreciate. That combination suggests you can count on it to deliver the kind of character and everyday usability many shoppers want from a modern muscle car.

The Challenger’s straightforward technology and broad powertrain range also support a dependable ownership experience when it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing an example that has been neglected or driven hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Dodge Challenger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SXT starts with 18-inch aluminium wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, remote keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The GT adds 20-inch wheels, a hood scoop, remote start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and unique houndstooth cloth seats. The R/T adds a V8 engine and an active exhaust system, while the Scat Pack 392 adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen.
• Powertrain: The SXT and GT use a 3.6-litre V6 with 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic and available AWD. The R/T uses a 5.7-litre Hemi V8, the Scat Pack 392 upgrades to a 6.4-litre Hemi V8, and the Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye move to supercharged 6.2-litre V8 power.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes front- and side-impact airbags, supplemental side curtain airbags, traction control, brake assist, and a child-seat anchoring system. The optional technology group adds forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic high beams, while blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path alert, and ParkSense reverse sensing are also optional.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The available Uconnect 8.4 adds a larger screen and Garmin-based navigation with real-time traffic updates.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 3.6L Pentastar V6 with rear-wheel drive returns 12.4 L/100 km in city driving, 7.8 on the highway, and 10.3 combined. The V6 with AWD returns 12.8 city, 8.7 highway, and 11.0 combined. The 5.7-litre V8 with the eight-speed automatic returns 14.7 city, 9.4 highway, and 12.3 combined.

Which 2020 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2020 Dodge Challenger is offered in 9 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack 392, Scat Pack 392 Widebody, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Widebody, SRT Hellcat Redeye, and SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point and gives you the core Challenger experience with the 7-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. It makes sense if you want the styling and cabin space without chasing higher-performance hardware.
• GT: This adds more visual presence and convenience features, including 20-inch wheels, remote start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters. It is a good value if you want a more polished daily driver feel while staying with the V6.
• R/T: This is the first real step into V8 territory, and it adds the active exhaust system for a more serious muscle-car character. If you want the classic Challenger personality and stronger performance, this is the trim to target.
• Scat Pack 392: This is the best-value performance trim because it adds the 6.4-litre Hemi V8, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen. It is the sweet spot if you want the strongest mix of equipment and performance for the money.
• Scat Pack 392 Widebody: Choose this if you want the Scat Pack formula with a wider stance, wider tyres, and a more aggressive look and feel. It suits you if handling confidence and visual impact matter as much as straight-line speed.
• SRT Hellcat: This is for buyers who want supercharged V8 power and the most dramatic performance leap in the lineup. It is best if you are shopping for maximum muscle rather than balanced value.
• SRT Hellcat Widebody: This adds the wider bodywork and wider track to the Hellcat formula, which makes it the more planted and more visually aggressive choice.
• SRT Hellcat Redeye: This is the extreme-power option, with even more output than the standard Hellcat. It is for buyers who want the most intense straight-line performance.
• SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody: This combines the Redeye’s top-end power with the Widebody’s broader stance and more confident cornering character.

The safety package is optional rather than standard, so if driver-assistance features matter to you, make sure the specific car you are considering has the technology group or the other safety options you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Dodge Challenger?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price softness to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 16.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 68 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.11% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,063 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $37,305 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,894 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you are thinking about future resale. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later.

For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition, because the current market is already pricing in a meaningful drop. A well-kept Challenger with desirable equipment should still attract attention, but the softer pricing environment means you should be realistic about resale expectations.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger safe?

The Challenger earns a Marginal overall score from IIHS crash testing and four-star ratings in front driver’s side crash testing and rollover, plus five-star ratings for front passenger side testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include front- and side-impact airbags, supplemental side curtain airbags, traction control, brake assist, and a child-seat anchoring system. The optional technology group adds forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic high beams, while blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path alert, and ParkSense reverse sensing are also optional.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you need to check the equipment list carefully on any used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2020 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 16.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year is largely unchanged, but it does add several new colours, some additional interior design choices, and a 50th Anniversary package for some trims.

The bottom line: If you want the Challenger’s classic muscle-car formula with current tech and a strong value reset in the used market, the 2020 is a sensible year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can still shop nearby years, but the 2020 stands out for its combination of softened pricing, solid owner satisfaction, and familiar equipment.
