Used 2020 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearBarrie, ON

How much does the 2020 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices have softened 28.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 68 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.85/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, stylish looks, and comfortable ride. They also highlight the handling and responsiveness of the engine, the spacious interior, and the unique design.

The trade-offs are fuel costs and back seat space, along with a few features some owners wish were included. In practical terms, the Challenger suits you best if you want a coupe with retro muscle-car character, modern usability, and a strong daily-driver feel rather than a purely forward-looking sporty coupe.

Only 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.85/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable and enjoyable over time, with praise centred on its powerful performance, comfortable ride, and the kind of character that makes it easy to live with. The user feedback also points to a car that many drivers feel good about keeping for the long haul.

The Challenger’s performance hardware and straightforward technology support that impression of durability and confidence. Its easy-to-use systems and robust engine choices reinforce the sense that it is built to be counted on.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher-performance examples may have been driven hard, so condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Dodge Challenger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SXT starts with 18-inch aluminium wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, remote keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The GT adds 20-inch wheels, a pronounced hood scoop, remote start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and unique houndstooth cloth seats. The R/T adds a V8 engine and an active exhaust system, while the Scat Pack 392 adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen. If you want the best value, the Scat Pack 392 stands out for performance-for-the-dollar.
• Powertrain: The SXT and GT use a 3.6-litre V6 with 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic and available AWD. The R/T uses a 5.7-litre Hemi V8, the Scat Pack 392 upgrades to a 6.4-litre Hemi V8, and the Hellcat models move to supercharged 6.2-litre V8 power. The Challenger’s character changes a lot by engine, so make sure the powertrain matches how you plan to use it.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes front- and side-impact airbags, supplemental side curtain airbags, traction control, brake assist, and a child-seat anchoring system. The optional technology group adds forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path alert, and ParkSense reverse sensing are also optional, so base trims can feel light on driver assistance.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The available Uconnect 8.4 adds a larger screen and Garmin-based navigation with real-time traffic updates. The system is easy to use, which is a real strength if you value simple controls over complexity.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 3.6-litre V6 with rear-wheel drive returns 12.4 L/100 km in the city, 7.8 on the highway, and 10.3 combined. The V6 with AWD returns 12.8 city, 8.7 highway, and 11.0 combined. If you want V8 power, the 5.7-litre automatic is the most efficient V8 at 14.7 city, 9.4 highway, and 12.3 combined.

Which 2020 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2020 Dodge Challenger is offered in 9 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack 392, Scat Pack 392 Widebody, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Widebody, SRT Hellcat Redeye, and SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point if you want the Challenger’s style and standard tech at the lowest price. It gives you the core cabin and infotainment experience, plus the option of AWD if you want extra all-weather traction.
• GT: This is the better pick if you want the V6 formula with more visual presence and convenience features. The larger wheels, hood scoop, remote start, and paddle shifters make it feel a bit more special without jumping to V8 pricing.
• R/T: This is the first trim that brings V8 character, along with an active exhaust system. It suits you if you want the classic muscle-car sound and feel without moving into the higher-cost performance trims.
• Scat Pack 392: This is the best-value performance choice. It adds the 6.4-litre Hemi V8, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the 8.4-inch touchscreen, while also being called out as the best bet for performance-for-the-dollar.
• Scat Pack 392 Widebody: Choose this if you want the Scat Pack’s performance with the wider-body look and the added cornering confidence that comes with the wider stance.
• SRT Hellcat: This is for you if outright power is the priority. It adds supercharged V8 performance and the kind of acceleration that defines the top end of the lineup.
• SRT Hellcat Widebody: Pick this if you want Hellcat power with the wider-body hardware and the more planted feel that comes with it.
• SRT Hellcat Redeye: This is the extreme straight-line choice, with even more power than the standard Hellcat and an automatic transmission only.
• SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody: This is the most serious version in the range, combining the Redeye’s extra power with the Widebody treatment.

The safety package is optional rather than standard, so if you want forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, or rear cross-path alert, make sure the specific used example you’re considering is equipped accordingly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Dodge Challenger?

The market looks moderately favourable if you are a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 68 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 28.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,032 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $34,576 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,324 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right number today. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you reduce the amount of value left to lose before resale.

The Challenger’s broad appeal also helps support demand, especially for trims with stronger performance credentials or desirable equipment. That said, resale will still depend heavily on trim, mileage, condition, and how well the car has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.85/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Dodge Challenger safe?

The 2020 Dodge Challenger earns a four-star rating in front driver’s side crash testing from NHTSA, five-star ratings for front passenger side testing, and four-star ratings for rollover testing. It also earns a “Good” result in many IIHS crash-test phases, though its overall IIHS score is “Marginal.”

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include front- and side-impact airbags, supplemental side curtain airbags, traction control, brake assist, and a child-seat anchoring system. The optional technology group adds forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path alert, and ParkSense reverse sensing are also available.

The main caution is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you should check the equipment list carefully on any used example you consider.

Should I buy a 2020 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 28.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.85/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year is largely unchanged, but it does gain new colours, additional interior design choices, and a 50th Anniversary package for some trims.

The bottom line: If you want the Challenger’s retro-muscle personality with modern usability, the 2020 is a strong choice, especially now that prices have eased. If you are price-sensitive, you can focus on well-equipped lower trims or wait for a listing that lands near the low end of the current range.
