How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.93/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and powerful performance, and many also like its comfort and handling in challenging weather conditions. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a family-focused three-row SUV with room to spare and easy day-to-day usability. With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.93/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in everyday use, with praise centred on comfort, smooth driving, and confidence in challenging weather. The overall impression is of a Traverse that many owners feel they can count on for family duty and long-term use.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that a strong reputation for comfort does not eliminate the need to check condition carefully, especially if the vehicle has seen heavy family use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,509 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $25,552 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,809 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Traverse has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now and planning to own it for a while. For a future seller, the softer market means resale gains are less likely in the near term unless demand strengthens. Even so, the model’s family-friendly layout and broad appeal can help support steady interest when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.93/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.93/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Traverse is a smart choice if you want a roomy, family-first three-row SUV and you value a softer used-market price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price or a better-equipped example gives you more value for your budget.
