This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 58 listings available.

If you find a listing below $16,280 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen's resale value?

The current average of $16,280 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,831 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future depreciation feel less abrupt if you buy at the right price. If demand stays steady, a well-priced example should remain easier to move later than one bought above market. For you as a future seller, buying near the current average helps protect against taking an immediate resale hit.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
