Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 4.64/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its solid feel, reliable nature, and roomy, comfortable cabin, while also highlighting its powerful towing capability and capable performance. For you, that makes sense if you want a full-size truck that prioritises durability and long-haul usefulness over the latest tech. The market also shows 31.9% of listings as good or great deals, which adds some shopping flexibility.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as solid, reliable, and dependable, with owners often saying it feels like a truck you can count on over the long term. That reputation lines up with the Tundra’s appeal as a durable full-size truck for buyers who plan to keep it for years. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying for that reputation while still needing to accept age-related compromises in refinement and technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 69 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,178 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $42,335 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,213 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently today, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment than they did a year ago. Even so, the Tundra’s reputation for durability and owner satisfaction should help support demand when it is time to sell. If you maintain it well and keep mileage reasonable, you should still have a truck that appeals to buyers looking for proven longevity.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $44,060 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $42,335 CAD average.
• It adds a more spacious cabin and an impressive stereo.

The bottom line:
The 2019 is the better primary pick if you want a lower average price and strong owner satisfaction. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2019 also gives you a better entry point than the 2020 while still keeping the Tundra’s core durability appeal.
