This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 377 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.77% compared with last year.

What is the 2019 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $17,867 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,584 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you're buying now, but it also means future resale upside may be more measured than in a rising market. If you sell later, the current trend suggests you may need to price competitively to attract attention. Even so, the Corolla’s steady demand profile should help it remain relatively easy to move compared with less established compact cars.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.56/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.56/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,751 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $17,867 CAD average.
• It adds a more stylish and enjoyable character.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value play and are focused on affordability, reliability, and everyday usefulness. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer-feeling Corolla with a bit more style, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
