That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. If you plan to resell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and service history to protect value. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 22.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $24,096 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $21,161 CAD average.
• It adds all-wheel drive and a sportier TRD option.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping the used market for a well-rated sedan. If you are price-sensitive, the 2019 is the smarter starting point; if you want the newer-year premium and added features, the 2020 is the alternative to compare.
