Is the 2016 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Toyota Camry earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its smooth and quiet ride, spacious interior, and overall reliability, while also noting that it feels practical and easy to live with. That lines up well with its role as a sensible midsize sedan for buyers who want comfort and everyday usability more than flash. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers describing it as a car they can count on. That kind of reputation matters if you want a used sedan that should be straightforward to own over the long term. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s core durability and more about finding a well-maintained example with a clean service history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 84 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,630 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $16,848 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,122 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For a future seller, that means you should expect resale to depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on market momentum alone. The current market also shows enough demand to support a healthy exit when you decide to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a comfortable, dependable midsize sedan with solid owner approval and a market that still offers some deal potential. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2016’s balance of satisfaction and availability.
