How much does the 2019 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 11.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,468 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of used-truck options to compare.

Is the 2019 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — 4.7/5 is a strong user rating for this truck. Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, powerful engine, and spacious, well-appointed interior. That lines up well if you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined than most and still offers strong capability for everyday use. With 34.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market value to be found.

Is the 2019 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because it is described as dependable in day-to-day use and strong on comfort and drivability. Some owners did note concerns about build quality and a slightly bumpy ride, so you should still inspect condition carefully on any used example. For long-term ownership, that means your biggest risk is likely to come from individual vehicle history and maintenance rather than broad owner dissatisfaction.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced trucks.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,468 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,118 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $27,118 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,494 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now if you plan to keep the truck for a while. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the truck is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean. Strong condition, documented maintenance, and desirable equipment will matter more when you eventually list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $31,133 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,118 CAD average.
• It adds the EcoDiesel engine back across the range.

The bottom line:
The 2019 is the better value if you want a refined full-size pickup and care about keeping purchase costs down. If you are willing to spend more for the 2020’s added diesel availability, that newer year is the better secondary path for buyers prioritising engine choice over price.
