If you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined than most, the 2019 RAM 1500 fits that use case well, especially if cabin comfort and road manners matter as much as capability. Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because they describe it as smooth, powerful, and spacious. What is the 2019 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $27,099 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,461 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the truck has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. Because the current market is already below last year’s level, resale value will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Trucks with desirable features and strong presentation should still attract attention, but you should expect buyers to compare closely across listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $31,144 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,099 CAD average.
• It adds the EcoDiesel engine back across the lineup.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a truck that already delivers the refined ride and upscale cabin that make this generation appealing. Consider the 2020 if you’re willing to pay more for the diesel option and a newer-year alternative.
