Owners describe it as strong, solid, and dependable in everyday use, with several noting a trouble-free ownership experience overall. At the same time, some drivers mention reliability concerns tied to check engine light issues and engine misfires, so you should pay close attention to service records and warning lights before buying. This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you focus on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 62 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.68% compared with last year.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class's resale value?

The current average of $20,860 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,739 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it harder for future sellers to command top dollar unless the car is especially well kept. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk later because the market has already adjusted lower. Strong condition, clean history, and good maintenance will matter more if you want to protect resale value.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used A-Class with a lower current asking price and a decent share of deal-priced listings, the 2019 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep comparing nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the cheapest badge alone.
