How much does the 2019 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 16.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 241 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2019 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, comfort, and spacious interior, and many also like the luxurious features and good handling. In practical terms, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a compact SUV that works well for family use and everyday driving. With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with comfort and ease of living standing out over time. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and cabin wear, since long-term ownership risk is always higher when a vehicle has already seen several years of use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 241 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,050 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $15,050 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,983 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sportage has become more accessible for buyers, which can make it a tougher vehicle for future sellers to command top dollar quickly. If you own one and plan to sell later, the current market indicates you may need to price competitively to stand out. On the other hand, the softer entry price can help keep demand steady among shoppers looking for value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want a comfortable, easy-to-live-with compact SUV and you value strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2019 is the better fit when you want a balanced mix of comfort, value, and buyer appeal.
