Yes — the 2019 Hyundai Kona earns a 4.54/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, solid performance, and useful technology, while also appreciating the safety features and good fuel economy. It fits well if you want a subcompact SUV with a practical footprint and a strong equipment list, though the cabin and cargo area are on the tight side. The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers describing it as comfortable and trouble-free enough to recommend. Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Kona?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 283 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.99% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,620 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $15,620 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,594 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at the current average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A softer market can also mean buyers will be more price-sensitive when it is your turn to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.54/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.54/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $17,515 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $15,620 CAD average.
• It adds more standard driver assists.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its compact cabin and cargo limitations. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model with added standard driver assists, the 2020 is the better secondary path; if price matters most, the 2019 is the smarter buy.
