Used 2019 Honda CR-V for Sale nearCambridge, ON

How much does the 2019 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have softened 15.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 741 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Honda CR-V a good car?

Generally — 4.4/5 is a strong owner rating for a used compact SUV, and the expert score is 8/10. The 2019 Honda CR-V is especially appealing if you want a roomy, comfortable, and efficient SUV with a practical focus. Owners consistently praise its comfortable ride, spacious interior, strong safety features, and available technology, while the overview points to broad appeal for shoppers who want practicality without giving up too much driving enjoyment. It also carries a long-standing reputation for reliability, and 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which helps the value case.

Is the 2019 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a long-standing reputation for reliability, and drivers also describe the CR-V as dependable and trouble-free in everyday use. The expert assessment reinforces that it has been historically reliable, with a reputation built over time rather than a one-off strong showing. Honda’s turbocharged 1.5-litre engine is described as satisfying and the CVT as unobtrusive, which supports the sense of a well-sorted powertrain.

There are still a couple of ownership risks to keep in mind on the used market, especially if you drive in very cold weather or take lots of short trips.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda CR-V?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the base trim, and it can feel less equipped because Honda Sensing is not standard on the base LX FWD trim. Higher trims add more equipment, and the Touring stands out with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with a CVT, and you can choose FWD or AWD. The engine is described as more responsive and more fuel efficient, but cold-weather short-trip use deserves attention.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is the driver-assistance suite, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and road-departure mitigation. Automatic high beams are separate, and the Touring adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: The CR-V uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, a rearview camera, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, text messaging capability, and HondaLink connected services. The system lacks a tuning knob, and the screen is described as small.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test drive notes 10.2 L/100 km on a testing loop, while Natural Resources Canada’s combined expectation is 8.0 L/100 km.

Which 2019 Honda CR-V trim should I buy?

The 2019 Honda CR-V is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the one to scrutinise most closely because Honda Sensing is not standard on the base LX FWD trim. If you want the lowest purchase price, make sure the equipment level still meets your needs.
• EX: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more of the CR-V’s useful equipment without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It is a sensible middle ground if you want a better-equipped CR-V without overpaying.
• EX-L: This trim is the step up if you want more comfort and convenience features, and it is also where SiriusXM satellite radio becomes available.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, with navigation, a premium audio system, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. It suits you best if you want the most complete CR-V experience.

Honda Sensing is standard on all CR-Vs except for the base LX FWD trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to make timing matter.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 741 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.36% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,115 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $22,115 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,128 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays competitive. The current trend suggests the CR-V is not in a rising-price phase, so resale gains are less likely to come from market momentum alone. Instead, condition, trim choice, and equipment level will matter more when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Honda CR-V safe?

The 2019 Honda CR-V is a Top Safety Pick according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it earns a five-star safety rating in NHTSA crash testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is the standard driver-assistance suite on all CR-Vs except the base LX FWD trim, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and road-departure mitigation. Automatic high beams are not part of Honda Sensing, but they are equipped separately. The Touring trim also adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

A key caveat is that an Acceptable headlight result keeps it from earning the higher Top Safety Pick Plus award.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong safety, roomy practicality, and a reliable reputation.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,102 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $22,115 CAD average.
• It adds engine and safety upgrades that improve fuel efficiency.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better value if you want a well-rounded CR-V at a softer price, especially if you can find a clean example with the equipment you want. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year with upgrades, the 2020 is the more expensive but potentially more refined path.

How does the 2019 Honda CR-V compare to the 2019 Toyota RAV4?

Our experts score the 2019 Honda CR-V 8/10 and the 2019 Toyota RAV4 8/10.

The CR-V is the more affordable used buy here, while the RAV4 asks more but brings stronger horsepower and better highway fuel economy. The CR-V also has a larger pool of listings and a higher share of good and great deals, which can make shopping easier. If you want the better value proposition, the Honda has the edge; if you want more power and are willing to pay more, the Toyota is worth a look.
