How much does the 2019 GMC Canyon cost?

Is the 2019 GMC Canyon a good car?

Yes — the 2019 GMC Canyon earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its stylish and comfortable midsized-truck feel, smooth power delivery, and easy driving and parking. It also fits well if you want a smaller, more manoeuvrable alternative to a full-size pickup, especially for city use. With 26.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 GMC Canyon reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in everyday use, with owners highlighting its smooth power and comfortable interior. That kind of praise suggests the Canyon can be a reassuring choice if you want a used pickup you can count on for regular driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the truck’s condition matches its asking price, especially given the concerns some owners raised about cost.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Canyon?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 68 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 25.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,300 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Canyon's resale value?

The current average of $25,300 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,089 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Canyon has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale outlook will depend heavily on how well the truck holds up and how competitively you price it later. Strong condition and desirable equipment should matter more in a market where values have already eased.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Canyon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 25.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Canyon makes the most sense if you want a midsized pickup with a polished feel, strong owner approval, and better pricing than it had a year ago. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you can also keep an eye on nearby model years and compare listings closely, but the 2019 is the better starting point if you value a balance of comfort, features, and current market value.
