Owner feedback highlights a truck that many drivers find dependable and trouble-free over time, with strong satisfaction tied to comfort, power, and overall usefulness. That said, this generation has documented issues with electrical systems, infotainment, and some engine and transmission concerns, so a careful inspection matters. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you verify maintenance history and test the truck thoroughly.

What is the 2019 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $27,829 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,942 CAD.

That price movement suggests the truck has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you if you buy now and hold it for a few years. If you later sell, the fact that the model remains popular and well regarded should help support demand, especially for well-equipped examples in good condition. The current market also gives you a clearer benchmark for pricing, which can make it easier to judge whether a future resale offer is fair.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $25,070 CAD, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $27,829 CAD average.
• It is a more well-rounded truck with strong towing and fuel economy.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $31,660 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,829 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern, comfortable cabin with stronger tech appeal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2019 if you want a balanced mix of capability, comfort, and market availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2018 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling cabin and can stretch your budget, the 2020 is worth a look.
