The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free experience for many shoppers, especially those planning to keep the vehicle for the long term. For used buyers, that means the ownership risk looks manageable, but you should verify maintenance and condition before committing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Escape?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 651 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.92% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,008 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Escape's resale value?

The current average of $15,008 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,641 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale a little more competitive for you as an owner. If you buy at today's average, you may have less room for appreciation, but you also reduce the risk of overpaying in a softer market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Escape or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $17,538 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $15,008 CAD average.
• It adds a redesigned, more polished feel with multiple powertrain choices and standard advanced safety features.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a wider pool of lower-priced listings. If you can stretch your budget and want a more modern-feeling Escape, the 2020 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2019 is the smarter buy.
