Is the 2019 Dodge Durango a good car?

Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, powerful performance, and family-friendly features, and many also like its stylish design and smooth driving experience. If you want a three-row SUV that feels more substantial than many crossovers, the Durango’s seven-passenger layout and broad trim range make it a flexible fit. Is the 2019 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a reliable, dependable, and trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those planning to keep the vehicle for the long term. Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.02% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,041 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $23,924 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,151 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Durango easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the current average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Strong demand for well-kept examples can help support value, especially when buyers see a model with broad appeal and a strong reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $27,578 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $23,924 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern-feeling technology and safety package.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer-feeling feature set, the 2020 is the better alternative.
