Is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary points to dependability as one of the Traverse’s strengths, alongside its spacious cabin and family-friendly usefulness. It also suggests the vehicle feels easy to count on for regular use, which matters if you want a used SUV that can handle daily duties without much fuss.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that reliability is described as only about average compared with some rivals, so a careful inspection and service-history review still matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 102 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,503 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $19,775 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,356 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Traverse has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about pricing if they want to move the vehicle quickly. The current market still shows solid demand, though, especially for a family-focused three-row SUV with broad appeal. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and maintain it well, you should be better positioned when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Traverse makes the most sense if you want a roomy, practical three-row SUV and you value a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar vehicle is available at a lower asking price, but the 2019 is a strong starting point when space, comfort, and value matter most.
