How much does the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD cost?

Prices have softened 9.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 60 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for this truck.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its performance, especially the Duramax Diesel engine, and they also highlight its dependable, capable nature for towing and hauling. That lines up well with the Silverado 2500HD’s role as a heavy-duty truck that can serve both work duties and more everyday needs. With 21.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as dependable and capable, with owners especially confident in its towing and hauling ability. That kind of praise matters if you want a truck you can count on for demanding use over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the truck’s core capability and more about finding one that has been maintained properly given its heavy-duty workload.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 21.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 60 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,360 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

The current average of $38,518 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,594 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more favourably now but may also mean future resale gains are limited if the trend continues. For a seller, the upside is that heavy-duty trucks with strong capability and broad appeal can still attract steady interest when they’re well equipped and well maintained. The fact that this model year has a strong owner rating also helps support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 21.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, useful capability, and a market that has eased a bit, the 2019 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against nearby model years before you commit.
