How much does the 2018 Toyota Tacoma cost?

There are 135 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Toyota Tacoma a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Toyota Tacoma earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, good fuel economy, smooth ride, and cargo space. For you, that makes it a solid fit if you want a midsize truck with durability, off-road ability, and long-term value rather than the lowest purchase price. The market also shows 27.4% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Toyota Tacoma reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, and it also points to a truck that many drivers feel they can count on over time. That matters if you want a used pickup that is built for long-term ownership rather than short-term novelty. For used buyers, the main risk is paying a premium for that reputation, so condition and maintenance history still matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Tacoma?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 135 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $35,218 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $35,578 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,766 CAD.

That kind of softening can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may not see the same pricing strength they did a year ago. Even so, the Tacoma’s reputation for durability and long-term value should continue to support demand. If you keep the truck in good condition, its strong owner satisfaction should help it remain attractive on the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a Tacoma with strong owner approval, proven durability, and a market that has eased a bit from last year, the 2018 is a sensible primary choice. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best condition and deal quality for your budget.
