CarGurus Analysis: 2018 Toyota Sienna

Summary
With 115 currently listed for sale and an average price of $27,206 CAD, 31.3% of 2018 Toyota Sienna listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2018 Toyota Sienna 4.4 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2018 Toyota Sienna stands out as a practical, family-focused minivan that combines space, versatility, and a strong reputation for reliability. It offers three rows of seating, and its interior can be transformed into a huge cargo area with a low load floor when the second and third rows are removed. Toyota also gave it a more SUV-like appearance than many rivals, with a sculpted body, a wide grille, and sleek LED headlights.
For 2018, the Sienna also benefits from a mid-cycle refresh that brought an updated front end, extra USB charging ports, and standard Toyota Safety Sense. That safety suite includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Buyers also get a standard infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus useful everyday equipment such as keyless entry, push-button start, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
There are some trade-offs to keep in mind. The Sienna is not especially exciting, and the source notes that power sliding doors can be troublesome. Still, for shoppers who want a roomy, dependable minivan with strong safety content and a versatile cabin, the 2018 Toyota Sienna remains an appealing choice.

We have owned Siennas for 14 years, and they are wonderful! Super dependable, low maintenance expenses as it never has an issue (basically just change the oil and rotate the tires). By the way, were retired and still love it!

How much does the 2018 Toyota Sienna cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $27,127 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $27,127 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $31,448 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $31,480 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −13.83% |
Prices have softened 13.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 127 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2018 Toyota Sienna a good car?
Generally — the 2018 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, reliability, and family-friendly practicality, and many also like its stylish design and available all-wheel drive. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a roomy minivan that can handle passengers, cargo, and everyday errands with ease. With 39.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a decent amount of value in the market if you shop carefully.
Is the 2018 Toyota Sienna reliable?
Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The user feedback highlights reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience as major strengths, which is exactly what you want in a family minivan. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and inspect for wear items that can affect long-term ownership costs.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Sienna?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 127 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $27,127 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2018 Toyota Sienna's resale value?
The current average of $27,127 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,480 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Sienna more attractive to you as a buyer today but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. Even so, a minivan with broad family appeal and strong demand tends to hold attention better than niche vehicles. If you maintain it well and keep service records, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong pick if you want a well-liked, practical minivan and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 remains the better all-around choice when you value owner satisfaction and current market softness.
